Post-doctoral Fellow in Ionisable Lipid Chemistry for Nucleic Acids Delivery

The University of Hong Kong's Department of Pharmacology and Pharmacy (JC STEM Lab of Nanomedicine for Advanced Therapy) is hiring a Postdoctoral Fellow in Ionisable Lipid Chemistry for Nucleic Acids Delivery. The lab focuses on nanotechnology for disease diagnosis and treatment — extracellular vesicles & cell therapy, immunotherapy, and nucleic acid therapeutics. The role involves designing and synthesizing ionizable lipids for lipid nanoparticle formulations, characterization via NMR and LC-MS, formulation optimization, physicochemical assessment, in vitro evaluation, and collaboration with molecular biology teams. Requirements are a PhD in Chemistry or a related field with lipid synthesis expertise, analytical characterization proficiency, LNP formulation experience, and familiarity with in vitro delivery assays; high-throughput screening, microfluidic manufacturing, computational modeling, and IP experience are desirable additions.
