About the role

DTU Physics is hiring a postdoc (2-year fixed term, Novo Nordisk Foundation funded) to lead electrochemical testing of size-selected bimetallic cluster catalysts for CO2 reduction. Work includes quantifying intrinsic catalytic activity and product selectivity via electrochemical mass spectrometry, maintaining sample integrity through UHV or inert-atmosphere transfer, and correlating electrochemical results with structural data from STM, TEM, XPS, and other characterization methods as part of a closed-loop methodology. Candidates need a PhD in physics, chemistry, chemical engineering, or materials science with profound experience in electrocatalysis and extensive hands-on work characterizing and testing electrocatalysts. Experience with low catalyst loadings, mass spectrometry, and surface science methods is advantageous. The position begins January 1, 2027 (negotiable for the right candidate).
