About the role
The Feng Laboratory at Sanford Burnham Prebys is recruiting a postdoctoral fellow to investigate disease-related membrane proteins and protein complexes, with a particular focus on endogenous ion channels, using cryo-electron microscopy and biophysical techniques to determine structures and elucidate structure-function relationships. Responsibilities include designing and executing experiments, analyzing data, troubleshooting protocols, presenting findings, and contributing to manuscripts, with mentoring opportunities for junior staff. Requires a PhD in biochemistry, biophysics, structural biology, neuroscience, or a related field, with mandatory cryo-EM imaging and data-processing experience; protein expression/purification, electrophysiology, or computational biology experience is a plus.
