This two-year postdoctoral position is in the NEX research group (Software Development and Environments unit) in Lund University's Department of Computer Science. The researcher will study "intention drifting" — the gap between developers' intentions, how AI coding systems interpret them, and actual code behavior — combining qualitative empirical studies, design-oriented methods, and critical perspectives on human-AI authorship in AI-mediated programming.
The role is full-time, fixed-term, starting December 1, 2026 or by agreement, with up to 20% optional teaching. Based in Lund, Sweden, with travel to Stockholm and international conferences. Contacts are Emma Söderberg and Martin Jonsson.
