About the role

HOURS: 36 THE ROLE This position is working within the Turing Integrated Research Engineering (TIRE) team to support the Turing’s national security partners though developing AI and Data science solutions. It will work across a cross-disciplinary team, developing new projects and authoring research proposals. This position will contribute to team research and tool testing, and is expected to provide to lead on multiple technical projects. A large portion of the role is to represent TIRE to internal and external stakeholders as well as supporting the career development of staff within the group. HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT Apply AI, machine learning and data science expertise to some of the UK's most complex national security challenges. Take ownership of technical challenge areas, shaping approaches and delivering innovative solutions for our partners. Develop and deploy cutting-edge data science and software capabilities, turning research into real-world impact. Work closely with researchers, engineers and national security stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes at pace. Share knowledge, influence senior stakeholders and contribute to the continued growth and technical excellence of the team ABOUT YOU We're looking for an experienced Data Scientist with a proven track record of applying AI, machine learning and advanced analytical techniques to complex, real-world challenges. You'll combine deep technical expertise with strong software engineering practices, thrive in collaborative multidisciplinary environments, and confidently engage with senior stakeholders across the Institute and with our partners. Eligibility for Developed Vetting (DV) clearance is a requirement for this role.
