The Alan Turing Institute's Research Engineering Group is hiring a Senior Data Scientist/Senior Research Software Engineer to apply state-of-the-art data science and AI methods to challenges faced by the Institute's research and external partners. The role carries a leadership component: managing one to two team members, mentoring junior staff, and working with external researchers to turn research outputs into production-quality software.
Candidates should have strong programming expertise, experience with statistical and numerical methods, and a track record in a relevant application area such as fundamental research, defence, environment, or national resilience. This is a full-time, permanent post (36 hours/week).
