About the role
AbCellera is hiring a lab-based Research Scientist II - In Vivo Science for its Vancouver team, working alongside pharmacologists to design, execute, and analyze in vivo studies that inform go/no-go decisions across the antibody discovery pipeline. Responsibilities include defining preclinical in vivo strategy from hit identification through candidate selection, designing and validating novel animal models with the In Vivo Models team, coordinating in vivo efficacy and pharmacology studies, collaborating with in vitro biology, protein engineering, PK/PD scientists and external CROs on translational studies, and performing/supervising sample analysis for target engagement and biomarker modulation.
Candidates need a PhD in pharmacology, immunology or a related field with 2-5 years of relevant industry experience (or an MSc with 5-8 years), including hands-on oncology/immuno-oncology and biologics drug development work, hands-on experience designing and interpreting in vivo pharmacology models (PK, PD, efficacy), and a strong understanding of animal-research ethics. This is a Vancouver-based role; AbCellera's posted hiring range is CAD $95,000-$112,000 annually plus equity and bonus.
