About the role
AbCellera is seeking a Senior Manager, QC Microbiology to lead GMP QC-Microbiology operations at its biologics Drug Substance clinical manufacturing facility in Vancouver, also overseeing a network of external CMOs and contract testing labs. The role owns the site's Contamination Control Program and serves as the technical expert for microbial methods, environmental monitoring, utilities monitoring, and contamination investigations, including bioburden, endotoxin, microbial identification, growth promotion, water testing, and disinfectant efficacy testing.
Candidates need 14+ years of hands-on QC microbiology experience in a regulated GMP environment and a bachelor's degree in microbiology or a related life-science field, with strong people-leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
