About the role
The Abraham Laboratory in the Department of Computational Biology at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is hiring a bench scientist to study how gene regulation and nuclear organization shape mammalian cell identity and contribute to disease, including pediatric cancers. The role involves independently designing and executing molecular biology and functional genomics experiments, developing new techniques, and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams on manuscript preparation.
Required experience includes cell culture, viral transduction, and proficiency in at least one high-throughput sequencing assay (ChIP-seq, ATAC-seq, RNA-seq, etc.); MPRA experience, immunofluorescence, and confocal microscopy are preferred. A bachelor's degree in biology or a related field is required, with a PhD strongly preferred (3+ years' experience) or 8+ years with a bachelor's.
This is a 100%-onsite position in Memphis, TN, with relocation assistance available.
