About the role

Arc Institute, an independent nonprofit research organization at the interface of AI and biology, is hiring two Scientist positions in its Computational Technology Center, each turning large-scale perturbational and single-cell datasets into mechanistic biological insight. One track focuses on Perturb-seq / functional genomics for the Virtual Cell Initiative (building a full-stack virtual cell model to nominate drug targets); the other focuses on single-cell analysis of microglia and neurodegeneration for the Alzheimer's Disease Initiative. Successful candidates will work at the interface of functional genomics, computational biology, and machine learning, analyzing data from Perturb-seq, single-cell/multi-omic sequencing, lineage tracing, and chemogenetic screens.
