About the role
Electra is hiring a Senior/Principal Multidisciplinary Test & Simulation Engineer to build and maintain ground-based test and simulation labs (SIL/HIL) for flight controls, avionics, and hybrid-electric propulsion on the EL9 aircraft program, integrating real-time models (RTOS, Simulink/MATLAB) and custom interfaces to validate systems ahead of flight test and FAA Part 23 certification.
Requires a bachelor's degree in aerospace, electrical, mechanical, or software engineering plus 8+ years in simulation development or systems integration, hands-on SIL/HIL hardware integration experience, and preferably MATLAB/Simulink and FAA/EASA certification program experience. On-site in Manassas, VA.
