About the role

Senior Research Fellow role in the UCL Energy Institute's Shipping and Oceans Research group, focused on sustainable shipping and ocean governance. The Fellow will lead policy initiatives supporting shipping decarbonization, expand research into emerging ocean governance topics such as ocean acidification and maritime carbon dioxide removal, provide technical analysis to policymakers (including within IMO forums), and support commercial consultancy projects. The role involves close collaboration with physical scientists, social scientists and economists, mentoring research students, and contributing to master's programs. Requires a PhD in business/economics, law, or political science with demonstrated understanding of the commercial, technical, policy and scientific dimensions of the shipping and ocean sectors.
