About the role
UC San Diego's Department of Pathology is recruiting an Assistant (tenure-track), Associate, or Full Professor (tenured) in Transplantation Science. The Center for Transplantation Science supports work in immunology, computational biology, cellular biology, vascular biology, and regenerative medicine related to organ transplantation. Responsibilities include developing an independent, extramurally funded research program and teaching within the School of Medicine, with an optional clinical component in Laboratory/Genomic Medicine or Anatomic Pathology for candidates pursuing clinical duties.
Requires an MD or equivalent, MD/PhD, or PhD in transplantation research or a related field; a California medical license and board eligibility/certification in Anatomic/Clinical Pathology are required for those with clinical responsibilities. A current, extramurally funded research program relevant to organ transplantation is preferred. Salary is $97,500 to $325,000 for the Assistant Professor rank and $120,200 to $345,000 for Associate or Full Professor.
