About the role
Two-year postdoctoral fellowship (with possible one-year extension) at the Heidelberg Institute for Theoretical Studies (HITS), a private research institute for basic research in the natural, mathematical, and computer sciences. Applicants propose independent research aligned with one of three focus areas: complex simulations across scales, data analysis and interpretation, or reproducible data-intensive research methods, working alongside established HITS group leaders. Applicants must have completed their PhD within 3 years of the application deadline (1 November 2026).
