This Medical Director, Clinical Development role leads the clinical science and medical strategy for a molecule in clinical or late pre-clinical development, spanning early-stage clinical research through studies supporting regulatory submissions such as Breakthrough Therapy Designation or Accelerated Approval. Responsibilities include leading the Clinical Development Plan on cross-functional teams, overseeing medical/safety data review and study reporting, mentoring clinical development staff, and managing trial design, investigator relationships, and regulatory compliance. Requires an MD (oncology training preferred) with 5+ years of clinical development experience in pharma/biotech or academia; early-phase drug development experience preferred.
