About the role
Electra is developing the EL9, a nine-passenger hybrid-electric aircraft capable of short takeoff and landing, backed by Lockheed Martin, Honeywell, and Safran and pursuing FAA Part 23 type certification. The company is hiring a Multidisciplinary Test & Simulation Engineer to build and maintain SIL/HIL ground test labs for flight controls, avionics, and hybrid propulsion systems, integrate real-time simulation models (Simulink, RTOS platforms), develop custom hardware-simulation interfaces, and manage configuration control and documentation supporting certification.
Requirements include a bachelor's degree in aerospace, electrical, mechanical, or software engineering (or equivalent experience), 2+ years in simulation development or systems integration, and SIL/HIL hardware testing experience. Preferred: MATLAB/Simulink expertise, RTOS familiarity, and FAA/EASA certification program experience.
