About the role
Dr. Laijun Lai's laboratory at the University of Connecticut (Storrs) is recruiting a postdoctoral fellow to study mechanisms regulating T-cell development, thymic function, immune tolerance, and immune aging, with an eye toward therapeutic development. Current projects span stem cell-based thymic regeneration using ESCs/iPSCs, recombinant protein therapeutics for age-related immunodeficiency, and novel immune checkpoint pathways in autoimmunity and cancer.
Candidates need a PhD, MD, or MD/PhD in immunology, cell biology, molecular biology, stem cell biology, or a related biomedical field, with a documented record of scientific productivity. Experience with T-cell biology, flow cytometry, stem cell differentiation, CRISPR/Cas9, and mouse models is desirable. Applications are due November 1, 2026.
