About the role

The University of Vienna's Max Perutz Labs is recruiting a postdoctoral researcher to study how C. elegans amplifies small RNA molecules for gene regulation and genome protection, combining biochemical, biophysical, and genetic approaches in vitro and in vivo. This is a fixed-term, three-year appointment (with potential extension) starting January 1, 2027. Candidates need a completed or near-complete PhD in biochemistry, molecular biology, or a related field, with hands-on experience in recombinant protein production and biophysical characterization techniques (SEC-MALS, mass photometry, ITC, fluorescence methods) plus enzyme activity assays. The application deadline is October 18, 2026.
