About the role

University of Cambridge (Yusuf Hamied Department of Chemistry) is recruiting a Postdoctoral Research Associate to develop and apply advanced ultrafast, nonlinear and quantum-enabled spectroscopy techniques for studying physicochemical processes, with applications in batteries, energy materials, electrocatalysis and molecular systems. The role includes building new experimental tools, including work at free-electron lasers, within a collaborative, multidisciplinary chemistry/physics/materials-science environment. Candidates should hold or be about to obtain a PhD with strong experimental skills in nonlinear optics and ultrafast spectroscopy; instrumentation development experience is preferred. UKRI-funded, fixed-term, 24 months.
