About the role
The Geeleher Lab at St Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, a hybrid wet-dry lab, is hiring a postdoctoral research associate to use AI and machine learning to identify therapeutic target pairs from single-cell and spatial transcriptomic data for emerging bispecific antibody and logic-gated cellular therapies. The lab integrates computational/AI-based analysis of high-throughput genomics datasets with experimental work, focused on pediatric solid tumors, particularly neuroblastoma.
Candidates need a PhD in computational biology, bioinformatics, computer science, or a related field, strong programming proficiency in R or Python, demonstrated ability to lead complex research projects (evidenced by first-author publications), and strong scientific writing and communication skills; experience with single-cell transcriptomics, machine learning, and AI is desirable but not required. Starting salary is approximately $85,000 annually, following St Jude's competitive postdoctoral scale, with relocation assistance available. The role is 100% on-site.
