About the role
These Postdoctoral Research Associate posts (5 available) sit in the Department of Chemistry, School of Physical Sciences, Faculty of Science and Engineering at the University of Liverpool, in a materials-discovery group identifying novel inorganic materials for electromagnetic shielding. Candidates will synthesise and characterise materials across several classes, including MXenes containing magnetic nuclei, metal-organic frameworks, magnetic hexaferrites, carbon-based nanomaterials, and core-multishell nanostructures.
The work is interdisciplinary, spanning chemistry, physics, and computer science, within an industrial-partnership context. Posts are fixed-term for 1 year, full-time. Closing date 14 October 2026.
