About the role
Research Scientist / Postdoctoral Researcher position with the Neural Circuits and Computations Unit at the RIKEN Center for Brain Science, studying the computational principles of dreaming using biological neural network models, machine learning and neural data analysis. Work spans modelling dream production in brain circuits, probing the computational role of dreaming, and feeding biological insight back into machine learning.
Requires a doctoral degree in computer science, physics, engineering, mathematics, statistics, neuroscience, psychology or a related field, strong quantitative skills, and experience designing, implementing and analysing neural networks for circuit modelling and/or machine learning; familiarity with neural data is preferred.
