About the role
This postdoctoral fellowship is in the Jamali Lab at the Ellison Institute of Technology's Generative Biology Institute, which develops computational methods for designing conformationally dynamic, functional enzymes — generative protein-design models that account for the molecular motion underlying catalysis, with designs refined through in vivo evolution via collaborators.
The fellow will design and troubleshoot experiments, analyze complex datasets computationally, help identify new research directions, publish and present findings, and mentor junior researchers. Requires a completed PhD in synthetic biology, computational biology, cell biology, genomics or a related field, a strong research track record and publication history in high-impact journals. Applicants must be UK work-eligible and based in or near Oxford; visa sponsorship is considered case-by-case.
