About the role

The Ellison Institute of Technology's Plant Biology Institute (directed by Prof. Steve Kelly) is hiring a Scientist to design and optimize high-throughput, image-based phenotypic screening workflows for plant cell systems, developing assays that measure cell growth, division, morphology, viability and cell-state changes. The role includes building reproducible image-acquisition and analysis pipelines (segmentation, feature extraction) and working with EIT's automation teams to scale screening. Requires a PhD in cell biology, developmental biology, bioengineering or a related discipline plus postdoctoral experience, hands-on imaging experience (widefield, fluorescence, confocal) and quantitative image-analysis skills. Plant cell biology, lab automation and 3D cellular-systems experience are desirable.
