Senior Research Associate - Technology Development

Profluent Bio's Technology Development team is hiring a Senior Research Associate to build and scale arrayed and pooled mammalian cell-based gene editing assays. The role spans plasmid cloning campaigns for DNA library construction, mammalian cell culture and transfection, and readouts via plate-based assays, flow cytometry, and next-generation sequencing, supporting both external-facing and internal assay development projects. Candidates need a Bachelor's in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology or a related field with 4+ years of experience (or a Master's with 2+ years), hands-on mammalian and bacterial cell culture and molecular biology skills, and flow cytometry experience. CRISPR/gene-editing background, NGS wet-lab and computational workflow experience, and high-throughput screening knowledge are preferred. This is an on-site role in Emeryville, CA with no visa sponsorship available; the posted salary range is $104,000-$110,000.
