About the role
Hyliion develops distributed power generators, including the KARNO generator, designed to run on multiple fuel sources. The company is hiring an Advanced Engineer, Combustion Aerodynamics to serve as a hands-on technical contributor to the research, testing, and development program for the KARNO generator's reactor and oxidation system, executing combustion aerodynamics test campaigns and analyzing experimental and simulation data.
The role requires a bachelor's degree or higher in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering (or related field), 5+ years of professional engineering experience including hands-on combustion testing and lab instrumentation, experience with ANSYS Fluent or CFX, and hands-on experience with 1D reactor network models in CANTERA or CHEMKIN. The position is fully on-site in Milford, Ohio.
