About the role
Vulcan Elements is hiring a Capital Projects Engineer at its Benson, NC rare-earth magnet facility, overseeing capital projects from scope development through design, procurement, construction, and commissioning. The role manages budgets, schedules, risk, and change orders while coordinating with contractors, consultants, and vendors, and supports equipment selection, installation, and startup activities as the facility is built out.
Requirements include a bachelor's degree in Engineering or a closely related technical discipline, industrial project experience in engineering, construction, or manufacturing, ability to interpret technical drawings, and U.S. Person status (an export control requirement). Desired qualifications include greenfield construction/commissioning experience and familiarity with project management software such as MS Project, Smartsheet, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam.
