About the role

The MRC Laboratory of Medical Sciences' Tissue Biology Group (Hammersmith, London) is hiring a Postdoctoral Research Scientist (3-year fixed term) to develop screening platforms for understanding how environmental chemicals cause disease, using either in vitro screening with organoids and cultured human cells or in vivo approaches with animal models, depending on the candidate's background. Duties include designing and optimizing screening platforms, managing large sequencing datasets, publishing findings, collaborating with internal and external partners, and potentially supervising students. A PhD in molecular/cell biology or a related field is required, with hands-on wet lab experience, proficiency with high-dimensional biological data, and programming skills in R or Python; the in vivo strand additionally requires established animal research experience and a UK Home Office personal license. Screening design, organoid/advanced culture, sequencing, lab automation, or toxicology/environmental health experience is desirable.
