About the role
This 18-month, full-time postdoctoral position is based in the Quintana Lab at the University of Manchester's School of Biological Sciences, jointly affiliated with the Lydia Becker Institute of Immunology and Inflammation and the Geoffrey Jefferson Centre for Brain Research. The researcher will investigate how the immune system shapes hypothalamic circuits involved in regulating the sleep-wake cycle during development and in response to inflammation.
Responsibilities include conducting original research on immunological mechanisms in hypothalamic development, performing mouse surgeries and behavioral studies, developing new data collection techniques, preparing manuscripts for peer-reviewed publication, and contributing to grant applications.
