Postdoctoral Research Assistant at the Oxford Robotics Institute (Department of Engineering Science) on the European Space Agency-funded TMNT (Threat Monitoring Networked Team) project. The role focuses on developing learning-based multi-robot path planning and coordination methods, and designing scouting approaches for legged and wheeled robots for collaborative exploration and mapping of unknown environments, in both simulation and real-world settings. Requires a PhD/DPhil (or near completion) in robotics, computer science, machine learning, or a related field, with a strong background in locomotion, manipulation, path planning, or optimization, real-robot experience, and strong teamwork. Fixed-term for 24 months, full-time, based in central Oxford.
