Postdoctoral Research Assistant in the Sub-department of Astrophysics, University of Oxford, on the WISDOM project studying molecular gas and supermassive black holes in galaxies. The role focuses on high spatial resolution (about 10 pc) ALMA studies of the molecular interstellar medium, measuring giant molecular cloud properties and weighing supermassive black holes via molecular gas dynamics in nearby and distant galaxies. Requires a PhD in physics, astrophysics, or a related field (or near completion), a strong background in galaxy dynamics, the interstellar medium, and mm/sub-mm interferometry; experience with strong gravitational lensing or optical/near-infrared spectroscopy is desirable. Fixed-term through June 30, 2028, Grade 7RS, Oxford.
