About the role

The University of Manchester's Systems Oncology Group (Cancer Research UK Manchester Institute) is recruiting a Postdoctoral Scientist to join Professor Claus Jørgensen's team investigating how the tumor microenvironment influences cancer cell signaling and treatment response in pancreatic cancer. The role involves learning, optimizing and applying novel cell-specific phosphoproteomics methodology, working in the lab and collaborating with international partners including MIT. The postholder will contribute to research design and support ongoing projects within the Systems Oncology group, with significant cross-institutional collaboration. Applicants must hold a PhD in biochemistry, cancer biology, or a related discipline, with essential expertise in protein biochemistry and cell signaling analysis; proteomics and cancer model experience is advantageous.
