About the role
Part-time, fixed-term (1 year, potentially extendable) Research Assistant role in the Department of Materials Science and Metallurgy at the University of Cambridge, supporting Professor Judith Driscoll's group. The role involves data collection, analysis and interpretation for experimental materials science work with vacuum systems and inorganic chemicals, plus lab and safety support: liaising with safety teams, maintaining COSHH forms and risk assessments, organizing weekly safety meetings, managing chemical disposal, and assisting with equipment procurement and maintenance.
Onsite 2-3 days per week (flexible). Candidates should be highly self-motivated with strong organizational and communication skills.
