Research Associate in Programmable 2D Crystal-Ionic Inter-faces
The University of Manchester · Manchester, England, UK
About the role
The Department of Physics & Astronomy at the University of Manchester is recruiting a Research Associate to develop new approaches to control catalytic and ion-transport processes at two-dimensional crystal-ionic interfaces, working with Dr Marcelo Lozada-Hidalgo. The role involves designing electrochemical experiments to probe interfacial charge transfer, fabricating nanoscale devices in cleanroom facilities, and applying precision electrical measurements to relate electric fields, charge transport and chemical processes. Candidates should have submitted (or be near submitting) a PhD in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science or a related field; experience with electrochemistry, cleanroom device fabrication or precision electrical measurement is a strong advantage. This is a fixed-term, 24-month post starting 1 October.
