About the role

The University of Bristol, in partnership with Hello Bio Ltd, is recruiting a Knowledge Transfer Partnership Research Fellow to develop fluorescent and protein-labelling probes for commercial life-science applications. Over a 9-month fixed-term post, the successful candidate will synthesize and characterize novel molecules across three product lines: next-generation protein-tagging systems, fluorescent compounds including photoactivatable probes, and biochemical assay kits, taking products from concept through quality control to commercial launch. Candidates should hold (or be near completion of) a PhD in synthetic organic chemistry, with experience designing and troubleshooting multi-step syntheses and a genuine interest in moving from academia into industry-focused product development.
