About the role

University of Cambridge (Department of Clinical Neurosciences / John Van Geest Brain Repair Centre) is hiring a postdoctoral research associate to characterize novel cellular models of mitochondrial disease and use genetic screening to find nuclear modifiers of disease progression. Work includes functional studies on neuronal and muscle stem cells, human organoids, and RNA sequencing to understand how nuclear and mitochondrial DNA defects cause tissue-specific clinical presentations. Candidates must hold or be near completion of a PhD and be able to work independently across wet-lab and computational biology teams.
