About the role
This postdoctoral position is with the Clinical Cognitive Neuroscience group at the Helmholtz Association (led by Dr. David Berron), focused on the functional architecture of human memory and the medial temporal lobe, and on developing smartphone-based digital cognitive markers to detect early-stage Alzheimer's disease progression through remote, unsupervised assessments. Duties include preparing and harmonizing clinical and cognitive datasets across cohorts, developing statistical models to detect cognitive impairment, supporting ongoing data collection with participant monitoring, collaborating internationally, and preparing manuscripts. Requires a PhD in psychology, neuroscience, cognitive science, biostatistics, or a related field, expertise in longitudinal modeling and ecological momentary assessments, and R/Python programming skills.
