Imperial College London's Computational Cardiac Imaging Group (O'Regan Lab) is hiring a Research Assistant in AI to process and analyze cardiac imaging data for research into hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. The role involves integrating imaging, genetic, multi-omic and clinical data into analysis-ready datasets and applying statistical and machine-learning models to characterize disease patterns and predict patient risk.
Responsibilities include quality-controlling large-scale imaging datasets, developing reproducible code for shared analysis pipelines, presenting findings at group meetings and conferences, handling sensitive patient data under governance standards, and contributing to manuscripts and reports for the British Heart Foundation funder.
Candidates should hold a Master's degree in a biomedical field with Python and/or R programming experience and strong statistical knowledge; machine learning or medical image analysis experience is a plus. Based at the Hammersmith Campus, hybrid with a minimum of 3 days/week in person.
