About the role
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital's Center for Bioimage Informatics is hiring two Senior Image Data Scientists to design and develop image-analysis pipelines for biomedical research. The role involves collaborating with investigators and software engineers to turn scientific questions into reproducible imaging workflows, maintaining analysis software, evaluating emerging computer-vision and foundation-model tools, and acting as a technical project lead coordinating imaging analysis efforts.
Candidates should have a PhD in a quantitative/computational/biomedical field (or a Bachelor's with 3+ years, or Master's with 1+ years of relevant experience), strong Python skills, experience with modern computer vision/machine learning methods, familiarity with bioimage tools such as napari and ImageJ/Fiji, and experience with scalable workflows, containers, and HPC environments.
