VP, Head of Forward Deployed Engineering

Snorkel AI is hiring a VP to lead and scale its Forward Deployed Engineering organization, the team that builds data pipelines and evaluation systems for major AI labs and enterprise customers using Snorkel's platform. The VP will grow the org from roughly 40 to 100+ engineers, set technical and organizational strategy, and act as the final technical gate on every dataset shipped to a customer, bridging research-driven data work with platform engineering. Responsibilities include owning pipeline cost and performance, establishing engineering standards for data evaluation and verification, mentoring engineering managers and tech leads, and driving hiring through a hypergrowth phase. Candidates need 10+ years in software or ML engineering, 5+ years managing multiple teams, a track record scaling engineering orgs to ~100 people, and direct experience with ML infrastructure, data platforms, and the LLM application stack.
