Area of research:Other Starting date:07.08.2026 Job description:Your Responsibilities: Conduct research on and contribute to the further development of lithium-metal batteries as part of an international team of leading German and US scientists. Develop and apply model-based approaches to improve the safety and stability of lithium-metal batteries. Create models to capture degradation processes at elevated temperatures and identify strategies to mitigate battery degradation. Collaborate closely with experimental and simulation partners in an interdisciplinary research environment, including research stays abroad. Identify degradation mechanisms and validate the developed models using experimental and simulation data. Publish research results in scientific journals and project reports. Present research findings at national and international scientific conferences. Opportunity to pursue a PhD This research center is part of the Helmholtz Association of German Research Centers.
