Postdoctoral Research Assistant in the Department of Earth Sciences, University of Oxford, on the Human Frontiers Science Program-funded project 'Windows to the past: functional evolution of vision in trilobites.' The researcher will develop morphological landmarking approaches to analyze trilobite eye area, shape and curvature, investigating how visual investment varies across trilobite diversity in relation to ecology and extinction, and will help guide junior team members. Requires a PhD/DPhil (or near completion) in a relevant discipline; experience with visual systems or arthropod eye morphology is preferred. Fixed-term through July 31, 2027, Research Grade 7.2, based on South Parks Road, Oxford.
